All it took was one terror attack in Wheldrake to shatter Skylar Harrison's life to the core. It's been two months after Hunter Drayer, the light of Skylar's life, died. If coping with trauma wasn't enough already, now she's been seeing repetitive dreams for the past month. It never seems to add up.

But when a portal is created between two worlds, Skylar discovers a lot of things.
To start with, Skylar is one of the few people on Earth to be born with a specialized personality and possess the gift of being able to conjure her own spirit animal. The thing is, this spirit animal exists in another realm entirely...

The Hidden Realm.

The land where four different domains of people exist. The land where the wolves are the kings of the Dracheoryon domain, and the lions are missing in action. The land where Skylar finally gets a break, and where she, as part of the wolves, rules one of the four domains of the Empire.
And adding the cherry on the cake, Skylar reunites with a certain "dead" boyfriend of hers.
You wouldn't want anything better, would you? But everything is not as perfect as it seems.

"Everybody is ruled by fear, Skylar. Why do you think Lionhearts are a dead concept? Because we learned to conquer fear. And that's why we wolves get the throne."

A task to bring back a rose from the outskirts; the Bishop Rose, which could potentially save Skylar the trouble of losing Hunter again, forever.
But to journey over to the dark side of the Spirit Realm, where nothing less than the most daunting beasts roam, and fight a battle against the enemy's entire legion single-handedly while choosing between reality and the Empire? It's a tough life.

But this is Skylar Harrison we're talking about, end of the day. The wolves didn't rule for no reason.
