There's an old proverb that says that when something is 'out of sight, out of mind', it means that you forget things that aren't there anymore. That's how I am. Invisible. Unseen, unheard. A face in the crowd. Alone in my own little lifeboat, floating in the sea. I try not to care, I really do. I try not to let it bother me how everyone's gaze slides off of me like water, as if I'm not even there.
