"We need you," Echo growls, his eyes blazing red, showing that his dragon was trying to make himself present, "and they need you. You're the their leader."
My hands shook. I couldn't do this, I couldn't lead The Deviant into a war that we may not make it out of.

Gwendolyn Finn never had the joyful childhood that most children had. Her father never wanted a family. His world revolved around his work; studying paranormal creatures. He used Gwen as test subject and after many lethal injections she is able to move objects with her mind.

When the laboratories technology increases, they create more advanced supernatural beings. There are stronger than Gwendolyn, so she is no longer needed. Desperate to leave before she is killed, Gwen needs to make a plan to leave. To a group called The Deviant, a community full of supernatural beings.
