She was born a weapon. He was born a target. Only together can they break the curse that will destroy them both. Keisha Grelynn is the last assassin of the Veilborn, a brotherhood dismantled in blood and fire. Hunted, exiled, and bound by a contract she cannot refuse, she is offered one final mission: kill Alexander Danial, heir to the throne of Eryndral. His death will buy her freedom. But when Keisha slips into the palace's shadows, she discovers a truth no coin-payer ever intended her to know. The young heir is not the villain she expected-he is the kingdom's last hope. In secret, Alexander searches for a way to undo the ancient curse that is rotting his people and has already claimed generations of his bloodline. A curse the Veilborn themselves once helped cast. Now Keisha faces an impossible choice. Complete her contract and walk free, or betray everything she was trained to be and guard the one man who might redeem them both. As court traitors close in, monsters stir in cursed lands, and forgotten relics awaken, assassin and heir must decide whether they are enemies, allies, or something far more dangerous. Steel meets shadow. Loyalty meets betrayal. And in the end, freedom may cost more than either of them is willing to pay.
