Karter Stockinngs has grown up in the woods after a fire, The Inferno, destroyed her her town as a young child. After the town the rebuilt, families were forced to leave so they could remake the rules from ancient times. Her family was starved, but she survived. She has hid in the woods, (if people knew she was alive, she wouldn't be for long) but that is until she meets Caden Prier.
