People learn of Calli Wilkis but what of those who accompanied her on the journey across a galaxy? Calli may have been a star to her generation but with every star there is a shadow.

The pieces were falling into place for Logan Vinitia. His grades were impecable and training only made him stronger. But his work only moved towards one goal. A chance to redefine greatness and make his name known to the world. He needed to be the Chosen One.

When Calli Wilkis is Chosen, Logan's life comes to a screening halt. He is called to be her companion during  the trip but he can never be the Chosen one. Is it worth fighting if he won't be the one remembered?

Yet, Logan will still fight. Even through pain and terror he will fight. Because that's what a true hero does.
