Meet April Soleil Duval, otherwise known as Despair, the kleptomaniac loner "Goth Bitch" from the quiet, afluent suburbs of Atlanta.
After Despair's boyfriend Charlie Young moved away to the UK and cheated on her with some British bitch he claimed to love, she discovered that she was three weeks pregnant. Devastated and betrayed, she couldn't muster the strength to tell anyone--her friends, her family, her clergyman--all except the abortionist, and her private diary Bones. Consequently, all her friends abandonded her because of her "odd behavior." For the next two years, she was left to deal with her grief alone. But it doesn't end there.
Our story begins during the second semester of her senior year at Sebastian Academy when Beth Mathews, the pastor's whore daughter, and her friends steal Bones and put its contents up on the school website. Soon, the whole school learns of all of Despair's dirty little secrets, not to mention all the dirty things she used to do with Charlie.
Despair is filled with rage and desperation, and with the help of her new friend Yumi (pronounced Yoo-mee) Takahashi, the bubbly foreign exchange student from Japan, she exacts her revenge. Let the games begin.
