Asher Northcott has always been struggling to earn his parents appreciation in their world where protecting the human world from the world of the fae is normal. Due to "recent events" he thought he finally might have that chance. Only to have that dream thoroughly crushed upon discovering an agent from America is being sent to deal with their misconduct of the rules. Asher however is still determined to show he can do anything this guy can do, better. For his sake and his family's.

Gus Washington isn't used to having real friends. The closest thing he has to even a mom is the special agent who looks after him. He spends most of his time karate-chopping faeries and keeping the land of the free and home of the brave pest free. He thought this would be like every other mission he's ever been on, get in, kick butt, get out. Keep moving. Get used to new faces. Then keep moving. However, when it starts to look like it might be different this time, Gus starts to worry that between his loyalty to his job and his own heart, he might loose the first person he ever called a friend.

In New York City, elite teens are going missing. The police and FBI have run out of leads and out of time, and so there is only one option left: to contract the CDA. It's the government's dirty little secret, an unorthodox organization of highly trained agents who are sent in when everyone else has failed. Four agents are sent to NYC: Mel Carmicheal, a knife-loving force of nature who could seduce a priest if she wanted to; Diego Delarosa, a perceptive and rational agent who can get anyone to trust him; Ian Sharpe, a quiet, insightful hitman who doesn't know exactly why he's there; and Asha Mannan, an organized, analytical agent who never gives up on a case. Changes in the very structure of the CDA during the middle of their assignment, however, have the agents scrambling with a new deadline and the looming threat of a suicide mission. Worst of all, their pasts and their secrets are beginning to catch up with them-- and they're all more connected than they know. Can they save the missing teenagers before their worlds come crashing down? *Told in chapters alternating between the past and the present* *This is the new & improved version of Identity- the old one has since been unpublished. However, this is not the final version and will most likely contain minor grammar mistakes/plot holes/etc.* Copyright © 2017 by Sloane Mackenzie All rights reserved. Follow our resident mage (a magical person) Claire Dunsworth who becomes a NYC Mage Detective and her new partner the rugged Detective Raven Black as they investigate crimes of a magical nature. Claire is a mage with exceptional magical talent if not too exceptional for the higher ups within the Guild that monitors all mages of the world. She is an orphan and grew up in a Home for Magical Children on Mage Island, floating in the middle of the Pacific. Under constant watch and scrutiny from the Guild, Claire now finds herself working side by side with a Black, the very family that was breed to become mage assassins, killing thousands of her people. The fact that the Black is also a handsome man does not help Claire's case at all. Raven has nothing to do with his family and yet is hostile to Claire upon finding out she's a mage. He worked as a detective to make sure everyone had equal justice but when he got his new partner Claire his world is thrown upside down. Not only is she a mage whom he silently despises but she's also the most beautiful woman he's ever laid eyes on. As they work together and find a rocky truce between themselves they travel the city solving crimes with a magical association. Raven accepts Claire without cause while Claire lays her life down for the man who stole her heart. As they fall for one another a dark figure lerks in the shadows, plotting something sinister for our mage Claire. Could this dark figure perhaps have something to do with Claire's unclear past? Can Raven, a Black, somehow save this woman before she's taken from him forever?

By the time he graduated High school he was to apply to Ivy League colleges and major in Business and Marketing, per his father's request. After he received his degree he was then supposed to get an internship at the company his grandfather owned 'Anderson Family toys.' From there he would then work his way up until he was able to procure the position of CEO and Head Chairman of the company. Afterwards if he had the time, he was then to marry a nice, beautiful, and capable young woman and have at least one, if not two, children to please his mother. The keyword being supposed to though. One day Cade is called out of school with the news that his grandpa had passed away. It was so sudden and he barely had anytime to process it before he was watching his Grandpa's coffin be lowered into the ground and he was left staring at the morbidly bland headstone that only read "Harold Anderson." After learning he had inherited the mansion his grandpa called home, Cade was practically kicked out of the house by his father and all but forced to live in the mansion by himself. Though when the day arrives and Cade moves into the grand estate he finds five injured, albeit gorgeous, men lying on the floor of the foyer unconscious and staining the white tiles with the blood from their various injuries. Cade's life is then turned upside down as he's thrown into a new life of magic, deals, devils, demons, love, loss, and surprisingly sex. But that's what Cade gets for being nice and allowing the five strange men to stay in his new home.
