"Mate," he whispered, as if he couldn't believe it. I wouldn't look up; I didn't want to confirm it. "No," I stated, "I'm sixteen, I haven't even lived life." "You can live life with me, dear mate," he said with a dangerous glint crossing his eyes. He took a few steps toward me. Each step suffocating me with his presence. "No, no, no, step away," I cried to no avail. If I didn't do anything, it would be over; I would be over. "Moon goddess, I call upon the blue moon endowment," I all but screamed. "NO!" he roared, but it was too late. We fell back with the sheer force of the moon goddess' blessing upon me. - They call it the blue moon endowment , a gift to the younger mates who were found under the age of 18. It turned the soft sparks of the mate bond into dangerous currents of electricity. It acted as a shield to the young ones. But a warning was heeded. The second you turn eighteen, you better run. Your mate is coming for you. COMING SOON JUNE 2018

"What's your name?" he asked. I hesitated. "Dawn." He repeated it under his breath once, then again, slower, as if he was tasting it. "Dawn." The sound of it hit something in me that shouldn't have existed. But then his gaze hardened again. "You were with her," he said quietly, anger laced in his face as he brought up Mandy. "How do you know her?" "I don't," he said tightly. "But I know what her pack did," His words confused me, "she's a killer. I've been tracking her for weeks." My blood ran cold. "You're lying." "I wish I was," he murmured, stepping closer again. "She's dangerous, Dawn." "She's my friend." He flinched like I'd struck him. "She's the reason people are after you." "That doesn't make sense-" "She's the one they were following. But they found you too, and they changed their target. I don't know why." His eyes flicked over my face, his tone shifting. "Unless... unless they know what you are." I took a sharp step back, panic clawing at my throat. "You don't know anything about me." "No," he said quietly. "But I want to." The way he said it made my pulse stutter. His voice was aching. And then, he grew softer, "When I found you, I thought you were just a human. I tried to tell myself you were. But my wolf..." He stopped, dragging in a rough breath. "He knows you. He recognized you before I even saw your face." "What are you even saying," I shook my head, heart racing. "You're insane." "Dawn-" "You don't know me," I said again. "You are my mate." #1 in love 12/5/2018 #1 in human 12/28/2018 #1 in comedy 1/17/2019 #1 in young adult 4/8/2019 #1 in cold 4/16/2019
