Frank is a mortician intern when he meets a friendly vampire, Gerard. Immediately drawn to him Frank is soon trying to protect Gerard from larger forces with a misfit group of ghouls.
Tyler is a high school student who accidentally gets caught up in a deadly game after he and Josh break into the local mortuary at night. He is left questioning the very fabric of his being.
Pete is a vampire, he's old, he shouldn't be getting caught up in trouble. But here he is, protecting the vampire he sired, Gerard.
On the run, these unlikely allies take refuge in a supernatural antique shop where they find friendship, even more unlikely allies, chess and a tonne of weird shit.
An illustrated fic for sad friends, eventual happy ending. Updated at least once a week

Gerard's life takes a strange turn when his family moves to a small town in Vermont and he discovers the locals aren't all what they seem to be. Also includes: unexpected nature walks, murder, pining, improper treatment of crime scenes, a number of bone-related puns, high school bullies, and a short-range shrub named Ferdinand. First: some extra warnings - This contains violence, homophobia, character death (but the character's still there--there's a fair amount of delving into the subject of death and dying, though, so be aware of that.)
