Aniyah Harris is a typical unpopular seventeen-year-old teenager who lives with her two annoying brothers, her mother who is always embarrassing her and her father who she hardly sees as he spends most of his time travelling around the world as a part of his job.

After moving the country for a fresh start, Aniyah worries she will struggle making friends but after meeting Myah, her first friend she's had in three years she is convinced that she may actually have a chance at scoring the popular guy of her dreams.

Unfortunately, for Aniyah there are just two things getting in her way.
One, Neveah; a total stuck up bitch also known as Ian's girlfriend and two, Haze Lewis; an obnoxious but frustratingly hot asshole who makes her time at Tom River's high hell but also happens to be her best friend's brother.

In order to survive high school, Aniyah agrees to help Haze as it means one thing; Haze will obtain a one-way ticket out of her life forever, a scholarship to Immanuel college and If she helps him pass English he'll promise to help her pass Physical Education. But after spending countless days together, both Aniyah and Haze discover another side of each other that they'd never knew existed.
