Annabeth Chase was never the loudest in her class but she was always the smartest. For her, the only way to get out of this town was her brain.
Percy Jackson was never the smartest but he had a gift to him; his ability to swim. When you're the three time state champion of your school and captain of the team, you have a lot of people counting on you.
Annabeth might just have something that can help Percy when his grades plummet, leaving him useless to his team. Something more than being classmates might just spark between them.
