Never an Optimist

The book is about the life of Ivy, an average girl just trying to navigate life and all the curve balls being thrown at her. She's had her ups and downs, more downs than ups, but she's still pushing through even though she doesn't expect much.
Like any good romance novel, she struggles with boys and her feelings towards those boys. Unsure which ones to keep as friends and which ones to pursue and hopefully gain a relationship from.
The emotions she faces on this crazy journey called life are ones many people can relate to, but she doesn't seem to believe anyone whenever they tell her it'll be okay.
