Adalyn ran through the trees. She could hear barking and other things chasing her. She risked a glance behind her to see four dogs crash through the trees and mean looking people behind her. The dogs will catch me, unless. She swerved quickly and kept running. Something moved ahead of her and a burly man stepped out of the bushes, with five more dogs and three other people. Shoot. She skidded to a stop and looked around. She was surrounded.
