Lýsi

One little parasite. One fatal enough to destroy the human mind.
But it wasn't the only one of it's kind. No.

There were thousands upon thousands, spreading through the land like a wild fire. One human brain, two human brains and counting, completely taken over by Lýsi. It was strong. Stronger than a simple human mind.

Enough to topple a nation.

"Shut up! The both of you! I haven't got time! Look I found our names in the Government Secret Files."Nixon rushed in one breath, angrily.
....
 "Our names!"
"I just said that." Nixon snapped irritably.
"Great! It's official. My brain just exploded!" Sarah threw up her hands.
"What are our names doing in the files!?" Kilila asked in a what she hoped was a calm voice. She failed.
"Finally I got your attention. Oh and it says we are infected with Lýsi ." Nixon said this as though it was an after thought. Silence.
"I think I just died." Sarah whispered. All colour had been drained of her already pale face. Her hands were gripping the stering wheel tightly. Kilila looked near faint herself.
"Nixon...that's not something to joke about." Kilila said quietly.
"I'm not joking! It took me a while to ...." Nixon suddenly stopped talking.
"Nixon?" Kilila asked the phone. No answer.
"Nixon, you there? Oi stop the bull and answer the phone!" Sarah voice came out rusty.
"Sorry, but he won't able to answer you right now. I think he's said too much. " A rough male voice sounded through the phone.
  The girls blood ran cold.

The Virus Within: The Unranked (Book 4)

50 parts Complete

Season 4 of The Virus Within Trinity is familiar with zombies, being one herself, but when strange zombies start appearing, she realizes that the world she knew might be changing yet again. When a dangerous set of scientific notes are discovered, Trinity and her friends don't realize anything is wrong until a frantic radio call comes in. Unaware of the notes, they race to the south and struggle to determine where the strange zombies came from. The zombies are unlike any ranks previously seen, and they aren't as predictable. Some have new tricks hidden up sleeves, forcing any Stronghold they encounter to quickly adapt to the new challenge or risk being overrun. Secrets never remain hidden, and zombie apocalypses never make life easy.
