"We should go" I whispered to Alexis, my mind racing while my heart started beating faster.
"Why?" Alexis asked, "we just got here. There's no way I'm turning around now" she finished and stepped over a loose plank.
I looked around, fearful. Something in my gut was telling me to turn around and meet back up with the others.
"I don't feel comfortable anymore" I mumbled while using my flashlight to look around the torn down room.
"Please" I begged as my hand gently grabbed a handful of her fabric. I pulled on it slightly, letting her know I wanted to go.
"Carrah I-" she stopped herself as she turned towards me.
Her eyes glued on whatever is behind my back.
"What is it?" I asked, confused on why she stopped talking. Instead of answering my question she took a step back.
I followed her gaze and turned around.
That was my mistake.

My relief didn't last though as she laughed coldly and looked at me with a half smile. Her laughter was beautiful, even though it sent shivers down my spine. It was the same with her eyes and smile. All of which showed me that she wasn't kidding. "Where did you get the necklace?" She asked. I froze, was that what that was all about? I didn't know! "I told you before, my dad left it to me, I swear." I said truthfully. She looked at me for a few seconds, thinking. I couldn't shake the feeling that everything about her was cold. "Well, even if you don't know anything, she'll come for you. And I will have the answers I want." She said with indifference before adding huskily in my ear. "And... I think we can have some fun together while you stay. Don't you agree?" She said as she laughed again and gave me her signature smile.
