The fair castle of Carlisle is under attack by the silver forces of Morgan Le Fay. A powerful sorceress, the last of the Nine rulers of Avalon, the isle of dead kings. Hungry for power, Morgan slaughtered her sisters, and has now turned her hungry gaze to the legendary sword Excalibur. If you possess Excalibur, you possess the nation.
To keep the sword out of Morgan Le Fay's vicious hands, King Arthur entrusted the sword to Merlin, great wizard and trusted advisor. Merlin, keeper of the sword, stole away to the Mortal World, where he had less a chance for Morgan's Eyes to see him.
However, since Arthur gave up the mantle of Excalibur, his time as king has passed. The sword has chosen a new ruler, a mortal named Amelia Holt. Though she is weak in strength, the hopes of the people live with her, and she must master the mighty blade and become ruler of Camelot, before Morgan can lay her hands on the silver blade and ice the kingdom in winter.
Will Amelia triumph over evil? Will she prove against the treachery of Morgan Le Fay? Or will the kingdom of Camelot ice over in a thousand years of winter?
