Being brave was something that Alex struggled with after her fathers death, it was just easier to shut down and take what people gave her. Withdrawing herself seemed like the answer to all her problems to just become a shell of her former self and live with the pain of watching her fathers life drain from him.
She finds herself struggling to cope with mundane things like moving states and changing schools, but what she hadn't bargained for was to be tossed into a world fulled with fantasy creatures, and to be tossed right into the middle of a raging war.
