Alaia has joined the academy and is accepted into the First Guard, the best fighters in the whole of Kalea. What was meant to be a new chapter of her life becomes an extension of her old life. When her estranged father appears at the academy and is revealed to be their commander, Alaia suddenly finds herself spending more time with the man who hurt her more than anyone else. 

To make matters worse there is talk of a revolution which means that Alaia may find herself on the front line much quicker than she initially planned. 

Now Alaia has to balance her attempt to build a relationship with her father, her extensive training to prepare her for a possible attack as well as trying to avoid a handsome Private with a talent for causing trouble, who just so happens to be the apple of her father's eye.All Rights Reserved
