When nuclear Armageddon destroys civilization on Earth, the only survivors are those on the 12 international space stations in orbit at the time. Three generations later, the 4,000 survivors living on a space ark of linked stations see their resources dwindle and face draconian measures established to ensure humanity's future. Desperately looking for a solution, the ark's leaders send 100 juvenile prisoners back to the planet to test its habitability. 1 of those Deliquents happens to be Adalade Phillips; 'the most dangerous prisoner in the Ark'. Having always lived in confinement, Adalade is hardly a people person but as the 100 are forced to live like no humans have for the past 3 generations, they form an unbreakable bond unlike any other.
The future of the human race is in their hands...

[ Bellamy Blake x OC ] When Freya was a kid, a kind family helped her out of a bad situation, taking care of her when her own father wouldn't - being too resentful towards the little girl for his wife's passing. During one of the many days on which he had locked Freya out of their living quarters to fend for herself, she had bumped into a little boy not much older than herself, Bellamy, and his mother Aurora. The two kids grew to be fast friends. Living on a space station after the nuclear end of the world, Freya didn't have many places to go, and from then on, the Blakes became her refuge, and after spending years escaping to their home, she moved in. She and Bellamy were inseparable, and she loved his mother, and his illegally hidden little sister, Octavia, just like they were her own, and relished in the feeling of finally having a family - of feeling safe and loved. But everything fell apart when Bellamy's well-intended plan to give Octavia a taste of freedom backfired. Octavia was imprisoned and sentenced to death, and Aurora was floated into space for breaking the Ark's strict population law of only having a single child. Freya couldn't forgive Bellamy for the consequences, and their once-strong bond shattered. Their friendship turned into avoidance and resentment, with both cutting all contact. When Octavia, along with 99 other teenaged prisoners awaiting their death sentence, was scheduled to be sent to Earth in a desperate attempt to save humanity, with the Ark's dwindling life-support threatening its survival yet again, everything changes. Determined to protect her against the unknown, Bellamy and Freya both sneak onto the dropship, forcing them to confront their fractured relationship in the harsh realities of a new world. Ash lives on the Ark, but not as a citizen, as a prisoner. At the age of eleven, her parents were floated, leading to Ash assaulting a guard winning her a one way trip to the Skybox. After almost eight years, the Chancellor decides to send the prisoners to the ground since life support is failing. Ash must be drugged before being sent down but it leads to a whole lot of issues right off the start. One of the other 100 shows interest in her but she pushes everyone away. Will they win her heart? Earth. It was the final destination for the citizens of the Ark, 100 years after the nuclear bombs that wiped out human civilisation and swamped the planet with radiation. But the Ark is dying. A fault in the system means that they won't last another three years without running out of oxygen. Sent to the ground, 100 expendable delinquents were to see if it was survivable. It was a suicide mission. A death sentence. But it was found that the ground wasn't consumed by radiation. Rather there was a different threat to those teenagers. A threat that was more ruthless and cunning. One that wanted war... They know that they will have to stick together. That they will be tested by the Earth and the secrets that it hides.
