Marnie is a senior in high school. She has one friend, almost zero social life, and dances ballet one night a week. She envies her older sister Maya, who has much more of a passion for dance, and gets to dance pas de deux; with guys.
Maya introduces Marnie to one of the guys in her class, Nate, hoping maybe they can go out some and she can help improve Marnie improve her social life and confidence, and also help her have some fun. They go out a few times and Marnie hates it. "He's too nerdy," she says.
Then, after some drama, Maya sets Marnie up with Thomas. Thomas is nice, but he's not who Marnie really wants. The only problem is that the guy that Marnie really wants, Mark, is the same guy Maya likes. And he's partners with Maya in the pas de deux class.
Will Marnie be able to win Mark's heart, despite his friendship with her sister?

Savannah is a freshmen, she goes through a very upsetting and a tough past with her mother, her father leaves and her mother dies once they move out of town to sweden, Stockholm. She meets a lot of new people over time and her feelings suddenly become very mixed up. We have mark, her closest friend, but some problems interfere between their point of view of each other, so she thinks of a change. A simple change in by which doing something she loved and still loves doing, and thats a very interesting sport if you're wondering. She meets Adrian, through playing that sport, and in fact, he recognized her directly since she appeared on television in the junior grand prix final competition back home in russia, so they get along pretty easily. As soon as mark finds out that she made more than a friend and that Adrian was a guy too, he had a bad feeling about him, but savannah didn't. When it came to her sister's crush, Aru Shah couldn't care less than she already did. She didn't even know the guy, and it didn't help that he was the hot topic in all of Kara's and Aru's conversations. She knew she had to meet the dude someday, because of their mutual friend group, but she didn't expect to meet him to help him and Kara for their project. It helped her too, so what was the point in denying? Aiden knew people only liked him, and talked to him because of his looks.
