16 year old June White's life was totally normal. Key word was. The Day changed everything. The Day the world decided it have had enough of our bullshit. The Day the planet became a giant oven, not caring about the people burning inside. The Day the bacteria at that government facility got a little too hot. The Day it mutated and doomed the lives of thousands. The Day the Changed were created.

People were angry. Angry at each other. Angry at themselves. But mostly angry at us, the Changed. The reality that they had destroyed the planet was to much to bear, so they blamed us. It's been a year since The Day, I'm 17 now, and instead of going to parties and getting ready for collage I have to live with the fact that out of the thousands of original Changed only about a hundred are alive today. People thought that by killing us they could fix the wrong in the world. They tried to justify their actions, called us mutants, abominations. Monsters. Maybe they were right. Nothing's very human about being about to shoot fire from your hands.

He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look.
