Muramasa University; A school that is in the center of a land of its own. Where only those who are dedicated in seeking knowledge of their weaponry, skills, and power come to gather and hone to become of a greater fighter that they once were. The school is watched by a headmaster known as Shizomaru, who is eager in teaching a new select-group of students, who's destinies are intertwined within the school grounds that they have yet to discover. Throughout the lands, there, roam dark and mysterious creatures known as the Demons of Ashura, who's sole purpose is nothing short of evil and malfested, these monstrosities surround more than just the school and the forests in between that these new students will have to discover and find out for themselves; Within this tale, some may say, there is more that meets the eye.

They can control 'Spirit Weapons.' Their power will form a weapon, usually a sword, and this weapon purifies a demon's evil. This kills it and turns it to ash. Although a lot of people are born with this ability, they don't know how to control it. That's why special academies are built to train them in the use of their weapon. Also, most can inject their power into a normal weapon to make it stronger than it's regular version. This isn't always very effective against a demon and it's still weaker than an actual Spirit Weapon. That's where Akihito comes in. He's been studying at an academy, but can't summon his Spirit Weapon. None of his senseis know why this is and neither does he. So, he simply has to inject a normal weapon with his essence and fight with that. How will Akihito fight the demons who killed his family without a Weapon?
