They say that our fates cannot be changed. That one cannot alter the twined thread of destiny -- however fate does have a tendency to be fickle. It is just easier to see ourselves as simple victims of chance. Our decisions merely determine the path that thread will follow.
But sometimes, those choices are limited for a reason.

A Broken Heart [A Loki Fanfiction] [COMPLETED]
He lived a life of lies, injustice, and neglect. He made gruesome mistakes. He was used, tortured, manipulated. But, sure, the God of Mischief can stay strong no matter what. Or can he? Even the toughest cry. And when the toughest have gone through hell, they might take the path of self-destruction. Or at least that's the path that Loki took in the desperate need for something to change the void inside him--to make him feel alive again. ... "The problem is life itself. We live only to die, we exist to turn to dust, we can see only to close our eyes one day and never open them again. What's the meaning of all this?" "Love?" "I don't feel anyone's love." ... Royal Love || Loki Laufeyson (1)
"Don't worry. I can feel it too.," A forced marriage. A sacrifice for her people. A war. And then there's Loki. The annoying, sarcastic, self-absorbed, opinionated, mischief-making, fallen prince of Asgard who seems to make his own history with the princess... "'Don't say that again.' Loki growled. He came closer while I backed away until I was nearly falling down the edge of the ship. He was menacing, his eyes burning with rage and his posture waiting for me to make a move, so he could attack. I only noticed his chest pressed heavily against mine when it was too late. His hands grabbed my hips tightly to prevent me from escaping and his breath mixed with mine."Terminé

Still coming to terms with the truth of his heritage, Loki must set aside his pride and seek alliances where he can find them. Darcy Lewis may be insufferable, but at least she is willing to help. Darcy, on the other hand, is dealing with her own family issues after discovering she's adopted. But perhaps befriending a self-proclaimed god will help distract her from her problems? Or it will get her into even more trouble than Jane ever did. Six college credits is looking less and less worth it every day.Terminé![star-crossed soulmates || loki laufeyson [2]](https://img.wattpad.com/cover/282439074-256-k857251.jpg)
