She is part witch and part shadowhunter (and she is also part angel.) She is the daughter from Jocelyn and James and she is also the halfsister from Harry. But they don't know it from each other yet. You are probably wondering how can this be and when will they know it from each other? Read it and you will know. I know it is in the start written in the she perspective, but after a few chapters it changes to the I. (Until Clary is 16 years she doesn't know anything about the Shadowhunters or the Shadow World.) This is a Crossover between Harry Potter and the Shadowhunters.
