For his whole life, Dan Howell has only ever seen in shades of black and white. As if that isn't bad enough, his mother died three years ago and since then he has almost completely fallen off the rails.
But then he meets the new boy at school, Phil Lester. Phil is the sort of person Dan would usually avoid - he avoids everyone nowadays - but there's something different about him - his eyes are blue. Dan knows he needs to find out more.
