Alphas

In the future, there are two groups of humans: the Alphas and the Betas. Loretta is an Alpha, an advanced mind. She's much smarter than the average human, and while science and technology have improved thanks to these super-minds, some people are threatened by them, and wouldn't mind seeing the Alphas eradicated. When Loretta's best friend, Jen, decides to become Alphas and it doesn't take, Loretta's life is suddenly in danger, because of her influence on Jen. The Betas don't take kindly to the equivalent of another life lost to the Alpha promise of a smarter future, and they'll do anything to stop it from happening ever again.
