This isn't your average love story of boy meets girl, they fall in love and have two point five kids, a big house and a white picket fence. This is the story of a girl who fell in love with her brothers best friend, gave him something she can never get back only to have him leave without any notice, not even a "thank you for your time" card. No, he left her heart broken and empty. She has built armor around her heart that no soldier can penetrate. So what happens when this soldier returns after five years and two tours of Afghanistan with a shoulder recovering from a bullet hole expecting to pick back up right where they ended? The shy and sweet sixteen year old little girl he left behind is now a no-nonsense twenty one year old women who shows this soldier that bullet holes and shoulders can heal but hearts are not so easily mended.
