Dustin Marley has lived by two philosophies in life. Never break a promise, and walk the path of life by yourself. To stay out of trouble and to avoid people finding out about his past. Moving from place to place makes this pretty easy. But when Hopewell makes him promise to try to make this foster home different, he is forced to drop that motto and give this foster home with the Miles a chance. Will this time be different though? Or will he just have to run right back to Hopewell and the other foster kids because his past won't stay where it belongs?

I am posting the first four chapters of my book The Girls of Charity here on Wattpad. The full book can be purchased online. I always make sure to disclose that even though I work long and hard hours on all my books that they are by no means perfect. There are mistakes from grammar and punctuations. The Girls of Charity is my first self-published book and when I wrote it, I didn't have a great program on my laptop to help me make corrections as best as I possibly could. However, this version, I am pretty sure, is the revised edition I had resubmitted last summer but however more-than-likely might have mistakes also. I apologize in advance if you feel you have wasted your time and or money on my works. Thanks

"Our eyes meet and I forget how to breathe. Worlds change when eyes meet. It's in the eyes. Always the eyes. Eye contact is a dangerous, dangerous thing. But lovely. Oh so lovely. I looked at the mother like a blind man seeing the sun for the first time. I stared into those amber eyes, and suddenly I knew; the fire that warms can also destroy." 7 years later, their lives have changed. Big shot Dustin Clark is living his life in the spotlight. Only to be haunted by the memories of his longing girlfriend from high school, Nova Dixon. Except Dixon isn't Dixon anymore. A wife and Step-mother, Nova Brown seeks out to find happiness in her traumatized life. With an abusive husband, a beautiful son who is her entire world, and the guy that has had her heart since they first met, how will Nova be able to keep her life afloat without drowning in her own painful sorrow? *Sequel to I Might Need You*
