Dustin Marley has lived by two philosophies in life. Never break a promise, and walk the path of life by yourself. To stay out of trouble and to avoid people finding out about his past. Moving from place to place makes this pretty easy. But when Hopewell makes him promise to try to make this foster home different, he is forced to drop that motto and give this foster home with the Miles a chance. Will this time be different though? Or will he just have to run right back to Hopewell and the other foster kids because his past won't stay where it belongs?

Marley Taylor may seem like a semi-normal girl to outsiders, but she has some things she doesn't reveal to others. At home, her parents force her to forfeit her phone until school the next day, she has to come straight home after school every day, while on the weekends, she has to be home at 7 pm, and she is not, under any circumstances, allowed to have any bit of contact with a boy. Marley has followed all of her parents' rules since she was a little girl, but when the new boy Rowan Sawyer ends up in her psychology class, breaking the rules doesn't seem like the worst idea anymore. He'll just have to be her little secret.
