life as a grim reaper is, as the title suggests, grim.

dan howell has the task of taking lives and, in turn, leaving a trail of devastation and grief in his wake. he is a monster, and he has given up on trying become anything more. he believes that he will never have a single happy memory until it's his own turn to pass on.

that is until he meets phil lester, a kind-hearted enigma, and coincidentally the single mission that dan will never complete. the mission that will allow him to grow as a person.
