Lynette McAlister and her best friends, Champagne Williams and Sherry Good, are the princesses of their modern, urban city - at least they think they are. Life is good for them: they're the queens of the 8th grade, they wear chic clothes, and have lots of money. They love spending their time at McAlister's Bakery, run by Lynette's favorite aunt. After all, that was the place where they all first met.
But complications with Lynette's aunt sends her and her family off to live somewhere else, in a whole new city with new people, places, and things.
In Lynette's new life, she is faced with many challenges: a new crush, new friends, school bitches, betrayal, and overall peer pressure. Even the things from her old life back home has come back to haunt her.
How will she survive?
