Lorelei James always has loved her nerdy best friend Hudson Reid but, in seventh grade when Hudson proposes they go out Lorelei flat out rejects him. Believing that friends can never be more than friends Lorelei tries to to explain to him her reasoning but he abruptly runs away never to come back. Now four years later, though Lorelei has never forgotten that day she goes on without Hudson.
