Stupidity. That's what killed my family friends and species the human race killed off one by one by our own slaves, the vampires.
So now I'm the only human left playing the part as a slave for the ''all high and mighty'' king and queen of the bloodsucking leeches. When I was younger I dreamed of Edward Cullen like every other teenage girl, I still do sometimes but reality hits hard when your the only one left and saving yourself is a whole lot harder.

"Shift." His voice hit me like a serrated blade as he stepped out of the crude semicircle of hardened wolves that had formed around me.
