After her father's untimely death, Alice is plagued with sadness and odd dreams. As her family heals, Alice is befriended by a shadow that only she can see. The same black wolf in her dreams. As annoying as he could be, Pan, as she named him, was at times the only thing she could talk to. Though Pan could talk, he was more like a deranged pet, set out to annoy Alice, but at the same time help her in her grief.
