When Alistair McKinley envisioned college life, he pictured rooming with his boyfriend/BFF of ten years, holding hands around campus, and laughing over crappy dining hall food. He was not prepared to go to college single, room with a stranger, and get served food that was actually pretty damn good.

But starry-eyed Alistair just knows his ex-boyfriend will realize their "college adventure of growth" or whatever can be shared and then come crawling back. Then Alistair makes a mistake that brings him face-to-face with the school's most beautiful, most androgynous Cameron Martinez. As he tries every awkward trick in the book to get closer to the mysterious senior, he discovers the hard way what his ex meant by "adventure of growth."
