Mundo niya'y malabo at nadudurog.
Puso niya'y nagdurugo, dibdib ay sumisikip.
Ang katagang 'mahal' ay tuluyan ng nabura.
Mula sa labi ng ina't ama.

Sa pag-alis niya kaya, pagmamahal ay matagpuan?
Maging maganda pa kaya ang kanyang kapalaran?
O higit itong masakit, masalimuot 
At nakakawalang ganang mabuhay?
