Aqi wants to experience the life of a normal, everyday person. She longs to live the life of a commoner in the city of Rhei but her father and his subordinates continuously thwart her efforts of escaping from her lavish life.
Once Aqi is able to escape her oppressive father, she runs into Saru and he offers her a place to stay. With him she learns what the life of someone in the lower city is all about and makes new friends.
