Aly felt the feeling of suffocation. She couldn't breathe. Truth do not enter her lungs for her to really live. But that was then - when she was left behind by her mom. Thick compact lies was given to her and the people the Contingent. Lies of the regime does not permit clean and fresh air and water. Electricity was under control. Everything was restricted, and nobody disapproves, but she knows everything.
Everybody in the Contingent inhales lies while Aly exhales it.

But she manages to find the way out after a while. In there, she finds Gally and Chuck, dead. But is Gally really dead? Only minutes later the two get saved by mysterious, uniform wearing people who take them to the "crank army". Leaving Chuck behind.
