What if you fell into your favourite story? Would you panic? Try to change it? Only focus on going home? Or try to stay within the words forever?
Rebecca Dufour was living a not-so-normal life to begin with. Her parents' disappearance and a long list of friends who have abandoned her has made her distrustful of people, but the broken seem drawn to her like moths to a flame, and she can't seem to refuse them - no matter how fast they leave. To make up for this, she delves into her creative side, refusing to come any closer to the harsh surface than she has to. But as high school graduation looms closer, she starts thinking. And that may not be such a good thing.
She decides that all she wants to do is escape.
To escape from the people who've hurt her, from those who have left her... From everything.
What happens when her wish is answered?
(okay so i just found two other fics with this premise. apologies for seeming like i stole an idea, and for perhaps beating a dead horse, but i will continue to update this with what i've written. thanks to everyone who's read what i've got so far!)

This is a fanfiction of many different fandoms, so you may recognize some of the characters ;) There are definitely going to be some TMI/TID, some PJ/HoO, Maybe some Divergent, Hunger Games, and some other things too ;P There may be quotes from the books/movies ;) Many of the shadowhunters/demigods aren't mine, they are Cassandra Clare/Rick Riordan's characters.
