In a world of superheroes, public outcry from the recent tragic death of a teenage vigilante has resulted in the creation of a government-run program to train underage aged superheroes, Chiron Academy.

If you're a minor with any sort of superhero aspiration, this stands as an ultimatum: you must participate, regardless of previous experience, training or mentoring. If you don't, you're done.

This has seventeen-year-old Wyatt Hatch, a.k.a. Flyerman, a superhero with years of experience, counting the days until his 18th birthday and his inexperienced know-it-all teammates are not helping matters.

-------
"This is such bullcrap. Unadulterated bullcrap," seethed Wyatt as he paced back and forth, more out of a desire to move than a conscious choice. "I can't believe we're being forced to be here. Literally the second I turn 18, I'm gone."

He and Todd stood on a top of some high rise building Todd had found during a quick search on google maps. Something high enough that they wouldn't be overheard but not too tall. After a few stories, Todd always got nervous.

"I mean," Wyatt continued to vent," at least your squad seems cool. You've got the Grey Ghoul's sidekick, for crying out loud. Meanwhile, I'm stuck with the squad that is so by the book, they stopped as we were leaving the campus today to check the dumb Hero's Handbook they gave us to make sure we were leaving correctly. It's called leaving a building. You've been doing it your whole life!"

"Three weeks. That's how long I got to have drama-free. I'm not sure what is happening to me or to Oakwood. Nothing's the same since I rolled into town and it just keeps getting weirder. Suspicious agents in suits roam the streets without an explanation. They're staring straight at me. The new Chemistry teacher is NOT who he says he is. I'm doing things I never thought I could. Like, mutant-level things... Lauren, Luc's dead twin sister, hid something from everyone. Something important that may have lead to her demise and that could lead to ours. Hunters are in town. I never knew four words could contain so much dread and terror. I'd rather deal with the Wanderers. I'm on the brink of a breakdown. I need help..." BOOK #2 IN THE SERIES! Ignorance is not bliss... In the wake of ridding Oakwood of Wanderers, other dangers come creeping in and they're somehow linked to Luc's absent twin. The past returns to haunt the mutants in inconspicuous ways. Riley's life is yet again in jeopardy, but this time she's not alone. Luc and his family are all thrown into the teetering balance. More secrets are uncovered. A trap dawns on them all. Invisible threats start crawling from all directions. Who is the real enemy? TW : behaviours of depression and PTSD are displayed. I don't name them, but one of the character will be struggling a lot. It may not be suitable for everybody. Other adult matters are briefly included, but nothing explicit or intense. Rewriting specifications : the main points of the story and end of the book will remain the same, am just going to change a few ways of getting there and adding some extra spice. Feel free to pause the read until the REWRITING sign disappears.
Kamen Rider Chimera by Tempest68
5 parts Ongoing Mature
Long before Alpha City lit the night with neon and newsfeeds, the world changed in a single generation. Historians call it the Merge-a sudden convergence of dimensions that pulled entire lands and peoples from distant realities onto one enlarged Earth. In a matter of months, Remnant rose between Japan and Hawaii; Amestris surfaced in the Atlantic; and echoes of countless other realms-heroes, mystics, even gods-took root in the soil. Nations rebuilt borders overnight. Heroes from every world formed a new covenant to keep order and share knowledge. At the heart of it stood Union Academy, a sprawling citadel in Alpha City where young defenders of every race and power trained side by side. To many, it was proof that coexistence could work. But for the Revenants, the promise of unity never truly reached their doors. Older than any single world, Revenants were beings born from the deepest tempests and forgotten legends-half myth, half flesh. In ancient times they had defended wild frontiers and remote villages. Yet as humanity's fear hardened into policy, the Revenants were hunted, branded, and driven into exile. To most people, "Revenant" still meant monster. Even after the Merge, the old hatred persisted. News feeds blamed them for unexplained attacks. Cities posted hidden bans. Hunters roamed in silence. And every act of violence, no matter how isolated, became proof that the entire race was dangerous. But now, a new Hero has arrived to restore the balance and protect the innocent...both Revenant and Human. He is Kamen Rider Chimera, the Hero of Monsters (I DO NOT OWN ANY OF THE SERIES IN THIS BOOK! THEY ALL BELONG TO THEIR RESPECTIVE CREATORS/COMPANIES/FRANCHISES Also any of the pictures as well, some are form Pinterest or Ai generated I only own the OCs Also warning: there will be sexual content, meaning 18+ due to certain themes and serious. Plus mentions of suicide, blood, gore, and extreme violence, plus drug and alcohol abuse)

"It's human nature. It's instinct to survive, no matter the cost." The world has fallen into desolation. The apocalypse has already started and finished, leaving some of the surviving ones with strange powers and mysterious scars. The world has ended, according to some, and is now in a state of rebirth. Others say it hasn't ended yet and that it's only going to get worse. The remaining people have grouped together in packs and gangs, raiding the desolate cities and avoiding the ones called the Destroyers, who capture and torture the remaining survivors. No one is safe. One fifteen year old boy knows this better than anyone. He and his older sister lived together, sticking to the dark alleys of their abandoned city, and survived for years after the apocalypse, until the Destroyers came and took her away, reigning terror on the few who remained in the city. The boy, desperate to find someone to help him save his sister, leaves the city and finds one of the youngest cooperative packs in North America, called the Raiders, comprised of unwanted individuals with the strange powers left from the destruction of years past. Their leader, a destructive insomniac, promises to help him in return for the skills and usefulness this young boy seems to possess, but something disrupting sends waves of unease through the Raiders, something about a forgotten past and talk of a mutiny. "Maybe there's more to life than just surviving." ... Rated C for Caution. Though it's rated mature, there is no bad language or vivid descriptions of sexual contact. It does have very strong themes. Please read the two important notices in the intro. Read at your own risk. Thanks. {COMPLETED} "now that you've had your fun electrocuting me, would you care to hop in the backseat?" ---------------------------------------------------------- Freak DNA. That's what I like to call it. The fault to my genetic code. More often than not, it's a curse. The static running through my blood gave me a name. A cruel, daunting label of a measly bug. A roach. That's what I am to them, to the government. Roach; the nameless monster with electricity for a sense and lightening as a second nature. It ruined my life, the sparking currents playing tag in my mind, running around and bumping into everything, shaking me loose. The government, actually. They ruined my life. My curse just gave them a reason. You see, the normal population with ordinary DNA, they don't know about the people like me. The roaches of the world. We don't get that kind of recognition at the camps. There, we are only one thing in the military's eyes. We are weapons and we will act like it. Everyone else out there, bathing in the goodness they don't know they've got, they don't know about the roaches their stepping on. As long as their getting closer to the sky, they don't care what they stand on to reach it. They don't know about the sparkling dreamer that's killed 7 people before her 17th birthday. They don't about the ghost of a girl peaking around corners for her entire life because even home wasn't safe. They don't know about the fighter of steel and iron sucking on his bloody lip courtesy of the wars he battles in as nothing but a shadow. They don't know about the masked villain who would do anything to see the army they lead claim the throne They don't know about us. But they will, because we will rise. And when we arrive, we will arrive violently. ___________________________________________ Started: 10.06.15 Finished: 3.17.16
