People don't realize that mistakes are meant to be unexpected. People don't realize that nobody is entirely good or entirely bad. People don't realize that death lingers on with you in your life, and your life sticks with you even after you die.
When Jacob was with him, he felt like his insecurities were being washed off like raindrops slipping down from the leaves of a tree. Now that he's gone, Jacob feels like his mind is being polluted by his own thoughts, much like how the sun steals the moon's glory at every sunrise.
Two best friends, a car accident, a coffee shop, and Jacob's quest to search for an ocean of answers that will eventually drown him in itself, but water never leaves you motionless - in this case, it took him to the one place he was dying to go, and dead he went.
