"We're assassins not genies, Mark! Why even waste your time when you could just kill them and be done!?"

Mark Graves could possibly be the most unique assassin that has ever existed. However, unlike other assassins, he doesn't kill quickly and doesn't care much about his kill count. What makes him unique is that he gives each of his targets one last wish before he takes their life.

When he discovers that his next target is not going to give up what her final wish is, he decides he should get as close as he can to this woman to gain her trust. Will they form a bond that prey cannot form with their hunter? Or is she just another target to the coldhearted assassin?

It's a symbol of power, of destiny, and of death - a mark that hasn't been seen in centuries. A curse that if found by anyone would end with her death. There have been legends, rumours, that the Bloodmark was the mark of the Goddess of Blood and if one bear the mark, they would have one of the god's power. However, it is also said that the power is enough to make one explode, die. Now hunted by forces she doesn't understand, Syerin is dragged to Ironspire, a fortress where the Ascension Trials unfolds. The prize? The crown of Velthar - and unimaginable power. The cost? Everything. Forced into a deadly competition alongside warriors, heirs, and monsters, Syerin must fight to keep her secret hidden. But as the mark begins to awaken, whispering of the ancient gods imprisoned beneath Ironspire, Syerin realises the tournament is a game far more dangerous than anyone knows. And then there's the matter of the Knox Brothers. Three brothers. The royals. The heirs to the throne. The oldest one in particular. She knows something is off about him. That there is something coursing in his veins that isn't just blood. Drawn to him in a way, Syerin can't understand, will the trials be her end? Or will the war that she fights against her feelings do it for her? Allies become enemies, love and betrayal blur into one, and the mark's power begins to consume her. To survive, Syerin must decide: Will she embrace the curse that could save Velthar or destroy it?

In a world where the lines between life and death are blurred, a group of strangers finds themselves trapped in an eerie, haunting place that seems both alive and dead. With no memory of how they arrived or who brought them here, they must unravel a twisted puzzle that will determine their fate. As they awaken in their own graves, the tombstones bearing cryptic messages, it becomes clear: they are not ordinary people. But whether they are alive or dead remains a mystery they must solve. The lines between the living and the dead blur as they uncover the horrifying truth of their predicament: they are part of an intricate, deadly game where the rules are constantly shifting. Their memories-altered, fragmented-are pieces to a puzzle that must be solved before time runs out. But in this twisted world, time itself is a dangerous, unreliable force. The deeper they go, the more it becomes clear: escaping will not be enough. They must confront the monsters within themselves, face the darkness they carry, or risk being swallowed whole by the haunting world that surrounds them. The question is no longer just how to survive, but how to escape the twisted grip of their own minds. Will they ever find the truth, or will they forever be lost in the labyrinth of fear and illusion?
