Cassian didn't expect to wake up. He had prepared himself once again for what seemed like inevitable death, although his final moments were filled with much more heartbreak than he'd ever experienced. He had looked into Jyn's eyes for what he thought to be the last time, and wished desperately that he had had more time. Fate has a cruel way of twisting one's expectations, and now Cassian's wish was granted.

Between the writing style being very reflective of my age to the self-deprecating comments I wrote about my own writing to the stolen cover art (my sincerest apologies for that, I am going to change it but the original is by @codynaomiswireart on tumblr) it is beyond me what was going through my head when I wrote it. It is for that reason I found myself shocked to see it with thousands of reads and comments, which thank you for by the way, I did not realize there was this much demand for moon Varian lol. For now I intend on leaving it up solely because it is hilarious to me and a good reflection on what was at the time a very important show to me. In the present, a lot of my love for the series has been somewhat diminished, due to many factors. But I won't deny what it did for me then, as I have moved onto, what I am hopeful to view as far greater artistic pursuits lol.
