Remember when Stiles woke from a string of nightmares at the start of 3B? I figure the nogitsune episodes could be just another of those. So, ah, this entire fic is him going through a bunch of nightmares, but he needs an anchor of his own to keep from descending into madness. 

He picks wooing Derek because: 
(1) it's something to focus on 
(2) Derek will never go for it (so he can keep doing it forever)

His friends try to convince him that it wasn't his fault. Even Derek starts talking to him and he may even start developing feeling for the boy who was much stronger than he had thought.
