This is Midnight.

Mortals is the only race on the continent you can call fragile.
Our mortal territory is located in the center of Midnight.
Long ago, in a different world, we lived in peace. A world where our ancestors roamed freely in all territories. But hundreds of centries ago, everything changed.
And now we stand alone in a world full of beasts.

Our borders are weak
Our soldiers are scared
Our destiny is no longer ours

This is the first book in a trilogy. The following books will be named "Exile" and "Reborn".

This is the first five chapters of my first novel in "Mortal Trilogy" aptly named : "Mortal." What am I? I mean I know what a vampire is. A vampire drinks blood. But a vampire is immortal. I certainly am not immortal. Am I just a killer? Am I a serial murderer? That can't be. I crave the blood. And sometimes I even need the blood. So what does this make me? I didn't ask for the craving, but it is there. I didn't ask to be this mortal who needs blood like a vampire in a storybook. Maybe this is what a vampire really is, someone like me. Maybe a vampire is only a mortal with an unnatural need to feed on the blood of humans. And how do I deal with this now? Do I continue to be a cold blooded killer? Or do I kill people who deserve to die? God knows there is no shortage of those in the world. Take a journey with me, from mortal to immortal. Not mature for the younger audiences. -------------------------------- I don't like explaining my books because when I do I tend to write everything that happens, so I am just going to say that I come up with these horribly dark ideas and put them into books, of course these books may be sad, and maybe even a bit sadistic, and in my mind they are badass, but when I write them down I don't feel as if I can show what I am truly imagining. I feel as if they suck, but my best friend tells me that they are amazing and that I better publish them when I finish so I did. Obviously. So eh. Yes, I know I happen to say this in each of my story descriptions but I truly do end up ruining the story if I write about it. There is foul language, sexual content, stupidity, and most likely some grammar errors, so I'm just forewarning anyone that reads it. I also try to make each chapter 2000 words or more, I suppose if that isn't enough someone will eventually tell me so here you go. ><><><><><><><><><><> Book 1- Deceived Book 2- Different Book 3- Ruthless There is another series that ties to this one, of course I don't name my series so I will just give the names of the books in order, but they should be read first, although it doesn't honestly matter as long as Ruthless is read last. Should i say 'nice to meet you'? "Now, repeat after me. I, Nathalia Nicolai, accepts your rejection, as your mate and luna of Bloodridge pack." He nod at me. Ok? i repeat the whole verse. "Good." He remarked letting go of me and exiting. "Wow." My only comment. That's really a new way to introduce yourself and rejecting people. I took a sip of my drink. "But that's really uselss." I smiled leaving the room. If you are born missing something, will you ever stop looking for that something? Try to fill what is gone? Won't you continue on living?

For a moment, I was afraid of him going back to his old self before dismissing that thought and focusing on my missing newborn son. Don't worry, I'm coming for you, my little bubba... Book 1 in the Blood Series (Under construction and editing) Prologue The full moon lurked over a town called Raven-wood Hills. This was a type of nightmare humans called The Dead Night. No one came out after dark when a full moon raked over the town. This night had been initiated in the early centuries when the pack entered the town. This was a night that the werewolves ruled the streets. They would roam around the town after the sun had fallen and the moon rose. Rumors of murders and the legends of werewolves roaming the streets had spread like wildfire. Yet some have tested that we don't really exist in "their" so-called world and they have perished in an instant. Some lucky ones who were blessed by the grace of the Alpha have survived and spoke about their experiences. One man, in particular, had a more interesting story than the others. The man had finally come out of hiding and spoke of the horrors he had witnessed. Oh, the horrors of a wolf that never leaves the Alpha's side. The man swears on his life he had seen Satan himself inside the she-wolf, he told the town that she was under the alpha's power doing exactly what he has asked of her. The man told the horror of what she would do with men and women who would cross her alpha, and he described this she-wolf as a gorgeous woman, her beauty was so alluring yet the coldness and hate in her eyes rendered you from getting near her. She had to be a Siren crossed breed, the man said. An evil temptress on land, the only horror that walked this earth. He warned the town. "Do not tempt and belittle the Alpha of the werewolves for, you will be placed under a spell of fear and death of this Siren Demon."

THIS BOOK IS COMPLETED but it will be HEAVILY EDITED and have things added to it in the future. I wrote this book when I was much younger. I didn't expect it to reach this amount of popularity so I will devote my time to bettering it in the future. ------------------ Every year, in our village and the neighbouring villages, we encounter, on what is suppose to be the most divine and celebrated day of the year, a visit from the 'big bad wolf'. At least that's what the children call him. Adults like to call him "inhuman" or a "wild ravenous monster". However, the majority settle for "beast". No one knows why he ruins this specific day for us, the day we can celebrate our species: werewolves. Some despise him for taking this day from us and forcefully exchanging our merry and joyful laughs to screams of fear. When that specific day of the year approaches us, none of us are ever prepared for it. He always comes at night. We are told to lock our windows, draw our curtains and our doors. We are told to hide. There's one main rule that we have: don't look at him. Because if you do, no one knows what'll happen to you. Maybe that's the worse part, not knowing your fate. Not knowing the outcome of your foolish actions. If he comes roaming your streets, you have a right to be scared. Us "maidens" are always encouraged to hide ourselves the most, it's women that he supposedly wants more. However, I believe that that is a cautionary excuse. He'll take you, no matter how old or how young, no matter how innocent or how corrupt, no matter your gender, all it takes is a look. Either he looks at you, or you look at him, or you both exchange looks. Either way, his senses will pick you up, and you can't hide. It'll be too late. The amazing cover is by @-blackrogue.
