I walked down the unfamiliar hall of my new school. I didn't want to be here but my parents gave me no choice. The school is the closest to the leading hospital in CJD research. Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease is an incurable brain disorder that slowly destroys my body. Life expectancy is about a year. My parents moved here as soon as I was diagnosed.
