When Beca first looks at the azure eyes of the most beautiful girl she's ever seen, her heart skips a beat, but she decides to ignore the butterflies in her stomach. A close, accidental encounter with the ocean-eyed Chloe in the shower and the fact that they both end up being part of the Bellas - one of the campus' major a cappella group - seem however to make it impossible for her to ignore her feelings. While she normally shuts everybody out, Chloe seems to be the only one Beca trusts herself to let in by showing her all of her most hidden sides and, completely oblivious of Chloe's feelings for her, they become best friends and grow closer and closer. 
As much as she would like to be more than friends with Chloe, Beca is afraid that admitting her feelings to her and being rejected would destroy their wonderful friendship. That's why she tries to divert her attention from her...to Jesse.
