"No, it's not, honey. While it's a good Killjoy name for you, you aren't a Killjoy yet."
"Yes I am!"
"You aren't a Killjoy until we say you're a Killjoy. Get used to it."

Stacia Hathaway wanted nothing more in life than to be a Killjoy. Well, okay, there were a few other things she wanted, but they all tied in to being a Killjoy, so she always went with that. Orphaned at a young age, Stacia and her friend Meri jumped from orphanage to orphanage, watching as Battery City was built around them. Not wanting to fall prey to the city's trap, Stacia and Meri ran away to the Zones, where a group of Killjoys took them in and promised to keep them safe. But fate works in cruel ways sometimes.

After a cruel trick from fate takes Meri away from Stacia, she's more determined than ever to be a Killjoy. After being involved in a fight in Zone 3, a Killjoy tells Stacia to go to the Fabulous Four, who would make her a real Killjoy if she proved herself to them. She found them, but let's just say...they got off on a bit of the wrong foot. When they refuse to make her a Killjoy, Stacia knows she has to work her hardest to get them to accept her.

Stacia knows she's a Killjoy. What will it take to get everyone else to see that, too?
