Noah hasn't exactly had the best six months. After a trip to Walmart gone horribly wrong, he's left reeling with the consequences of that night, and the thought that someone, something, is after him, even though he has practically no evidence to believe it, except for the scar on his chest.

Tanner also has reason to be paranoid. He knows for a fact that someone is after his family, after the murder of his mother and the poisoning of his father. He's in a race against time to figure out who's behind the attacks, why, and how to stop them. He soon realizes that Noah may be his only hope, whether Noah himself realizes it or not.
