Marie Lafayette is a 12 year old girl starting 7th grade in a new school and struggles with social anxiety, and depression.  She's starts out with no friends, no one to talk to, and worried she won't find any friends, until she finds Hercules Mulligan.
    
         I look down and walk up to my locker and put my stuff inside.  I take a deep breath trying to calm myself down, but it doesn't work very well.  I start to feel hot tears well up in my eyes and they fall down my face "laf stop you can't cry on your first day" I say to myself.  I sit there rubbing my eyes and the next thing I know someone puts there hand on my shoulder and I hear their soothing voice ask "are you alright?"All Rights Reserved
